I am now 4 weeks into uni. 3 weeks ago, I tried to buy 2 books from the on campus bookshop (Microeconomics and Business). Seems like they ran out of copies, due to larger than expected enrolments.

So about 2 weeks ago, the guy tells me they'll get one of the books on thursday (2 weeks ago). On Thursday, I asked them, and they said it might be there on Friday. So I went on Friday. Still not there. Monday is a public holiday, so on Tuseday, I went and asked them. The guy said it'll be on the next Thrusday. (What the fudge?!?) So then I went on Thursday again. It's not there. I asked them why. He said it was supposed to be sent out last week, But actually wasn't, and was just sent out only just then. (What the fudge?!?!?) So I went there on Friday. Nothing. He blamed it on the fact that the book is packed with a mini dictionary, and these 2 items came from 2 different companies, thus the trouble... Monday (yesterday), he said it'll likely come later on the day... still nothing at closing time. Today morning, nothing, and at 3:40pm, I went there again... ... ... ...THEY FINALLY HAVE IT... (ZOMG!!!).. and it cost me AUS$98.95.

Now... That's just one book. So I ask them about the other one... They said it won't come until at least the 26th... (What the fudge?!?!?!?!?!)... But i probably won't get it then, because there's about another 50 people waiting for it, and they already written down requests... So I'll probably need to wait for the next batch (What the fudge?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)... By that time, it would almost be the mid sememster tests...

/End of ranting.

Ok. Haven't posted In my blog for a while. Here it is.

Well, I was doing a Law/Actuarial Studies degree in university, but no longer. I dropped out of law. Actuarial Studies/Commerce now.

I'm not a language kind of guy, thus not liking law a whole lot, and not achieving the best scores for law either for that reason.

Also, the Law/Actuarial is a 5 year, very closely packed degree that allows me no room for electives. What I'm changing into, will be only 4 years and have lots of electives. Saves 1 year.

So I just thought that, since I'm not liking it, and I have to do 1 extra year because of it, and I'm doing really crap at it, I might as well just quit. So I did just that.

Q: What the hell is Actuarial Studies.
A: From Wikipedia: "An actuary is a business professional who deals with the financial impact of risk and uncertainty."

Q: Law could've gotten you rich, what a waste to drop it (which was what a lot of people told me)
A: I don't see myself becoming an excellent lawyer... And it's not all about money anyway, (although money is a big factor). ... And about money, actuaries get paid ridiculously high amounts.

4 days ago, at night, one of the guys that are renting out house came up to us and said that he got over $2000 stolen from him over the internet. Said someone transfered it to their account...

Then he goes on about how he couldn't pay the rent and all.... Erk

Anyways, my dad asked him some questions, and it seems that he got some scam email supposedly from "the bank". And he did what it says, and guess what happened.

We made him pay the rent later anyway... Wis

LOL. I never expected something like this to happen so close to me.

I do internet banking and everything, but personally I have only received about 4 peices of sPa/\/\ in my whole life from email, and these come bundled with a discount deal that I applied to, and saved over $100 with (thus worth the sPa/\/\).

Being careful and signing up to random things with a special email address specifically designed to sign up for such crap has eliminated all sPa/\/\ for me.
